At Braishfield we see our outdoor environment as a second classroom. Over the past few years we have undergone lots of change to our outdoor space and are still working hard to make the most of these spaces.
Early Years & KS1 Outdoor Learning
Our Early Years and KS1 classroom have their own designated outdoor learning space full of fantastic natural resources to support them in learning. The space allows them to use their imaginations, take risks, work with others and learn important life skills. Please see pictures below of these spaces being used:
We are very lucky that we have a garden space at The Wheatsheaf that we can use. Watch this space for more details soon.
Outdoor Learning at Braishfield
Every child has a pair of wellies at school to ensure outdoor learning is accessible to all whatever the weather. Across the school every class has an 'Outdoor Learning Day' each half term. This day is carefully planned by the class teacher and is lots of fun!
We now have planters for each class to grow their own flowers, fruit and veg. Let the battle of the carrots commence!
