After a full night sleep (for everyone!) we are all packed up and cleared out of our rooms. We made sure we all had a big breakfast to keep us going for our last workshop - Rainforest Uncovered.
This morning Nick is taking us into the Rainforest Biome where we will be learning all about the people, animals and plants that live in the tropical rainforest. Luckily we've all worn layers in preparation for the humidity!
Wow-what a brilliant first day we have had!
A smooth journey (with a bit of Mary Poppins!) and we arrived in plenty of time to unpack. After this we ventured up the hill and stretched our legs with some football, tag, tennis and skipping out in the camping field.
Mr Monteith conducted the first room inspections of our trip. Although it was a close call, Theo and VJ were crowned the winners! We then headed out to meet Danny who took us on the Land Train to the Eden Project itself. Our first glimpses of the domes were incredible.
Dinner was delicious. A choice of pizza, chicken and bacon pie or jacket potato with lots of veg and salad to go with it. Pudding was chocolate cake and chocolate sauce or strawberry mousse. Everyone had worked up a big appetite!
Nick was our guide for the Secret Biomes tonight. We entered the Rainforest Dome just as night was falling. We played Bat and Moth games using "echo location", drew leaves with charcoal in torchlight, led each other blindfolded through the trees and made our own rainforest music. We also learnt some warrior chants.
Back at the cabins we are now putting pjs on and getting for bed!
