Unfortunately, due to the national lock down, we are now unable to proceed with our planned school tours.
Below you will find a video tour led by our children together with a story video from our Reception class teacher, Mrs Wortham.
You will also find a range of other resources to help you make the right choice of school for your child and to prepare them for starting Reception in 2021.
A very warm welcome to Braishfield Primary School from us all. We offer a positive environment in which to nurture happy, kind, honest and respectful children. We are a small school (under 100 pupils) but certainly have big ambitions for all our children. We want their experiences at school to engage and inspire them and we see it as our responsibility to find and nurture every child's individual talents.
Starting school is such an important milestone for any child and their family. It is an exciting time but can also involve a few understandable anxieties too. You are also unlikely to have foreseen that it would be in the midst of such unprecedented and challenging times.
We have carefully risk assessed the school in light of detailed advice from government to ensure the safety of our whole school community and were delighted to welcome all the children back to school full-time at the start of September.
As we are in a small Victorian building, our usual open mornings, when parents visit the school and talk to staff and children, will need to be adapted this year. We are currently looking at creative (including digital) ways to share our school with you and provide you with the information you need to enable you to make the right choice of school for your child.
Please telephone or email Mrs Ewens in the school office on 01794 368359/ adminoffice@braishfield.hants.sch.uk for more information regarding visits to see the school in action and how we will be running these to minimise risks for all.
In the meantime, below you will find some useful links and resources to help prepare your child for starting school.
We look forward to meeting you. Stay safe.
Best wishes
Lou Rhodes, Headteacher
Naomi Wortham, Early Years teacher
